At its meeting on 10 July 2023, the Committee, having received a request from the State party on 4 July 2022 to discontinue the communication as the Swedish Migration Agency’s decision to expel the complainant had become statute-barred on 5 April 2022, and having received an expression of consent from the complainant’s counsel on 4 August 2022 as the complainant had subsequently been granted a residence permit and refugee status in Sweden, decided to discontinue the consideration of communication No. 996/2020.
