The communication was submitted by J.N. and E.R., nationals of Norway. They claim that the State Party has violated articles 4 and 6 of the Convention, by failing to protect them against the dissemination of propaganda advocating racial hatred and violence and incitement to such acts. The authors are represented by counsel.

On 25 May 2021, the Committee registered the communication.

¶3.

On 25 October 2021, the State Party submitted its observations on the admissibility of the communication, which were transmitted to the authors on 8 December 2021.

On 28 February 2022, the authors requested the communication to be discontinued, without specifying a reason.

¶5.

At its meeting on 5 May 2025, having considered the authors’ request, the Committee decided to discontinue the consideration of communication No. 77/2021.
