Decision adopted by the Committee under the Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, concerning communication No. 59/20181*

  1. *Adopted by the Committee at its sixty-ninth session (15 February–5 March 2021). ↩
¶1.

On 5 October 2018, the author submitted an individual communication to the Committee on behalf of herself and her minor children. On the same date, the Committee registered the communication and requested the State party to take interim measures to suspend the eviction of the author and her children pending the consideration of the communication or to provide them with adequate alternative housing, in genuine consultation with the author.

¶2.

At its meeting on 22 February 2021, the Committee took note of the withdrawal of the case by the author, who claims to have found alternative housing with assistance from local associations and the community. The Committee therefore decided to discontinue its consideration of the communication, pursuant to rule 17 of its provisional rules of procedure under the Optional Protocol.
