On 9 November 2018, the authors submitted an individual communication to the Committee. By a decision issued on 21 December 2018, the Committee registered the communication without requesting the State party to take interim measures.

At its meeting on 12 October 2021, the Committee, having noted that the authors had failed to respond to repeated requests for comments on the State party’s observations, concluded that the authors had lost interest and decided to discontinue its consideration of the communication, in accordance with rule 17 of its provisional rules of procedure under the Optional Protocol.
